This year’s Manak Cultural Summer, held under the slogan “In the Circle of Friends”, will take place from August 20 to 31 in the unique setting of the Manak House, located in the heart of Belgrade. Visitors can expect a rich and diverse program designed for all generations, where music, poetry, literature, film, and children’s activities intertwine, united by the ideas of culture, friendship, and art.

The music program will feature evenings dedicated to French chansons from the treasure trove of Édith Piaf, as well as an intimate musical evening devoted to Arsen Dedić and Gabi Novak, offering audiences the recognizable sound of emotion and sensitivity.

The poetry and literature segment includes the evening “Verses from the Garden of the Bengali Gardener”, dedicated to Rabindranath Tagore, as well as a special poetic dialogue between Nemanja Dragaš and Iskra Peneva, who will explore the theme of love through poetry in a unique way. Admission to this event is free.

The literary program will also present the book “The Sound of Freedom – The New Wave in EX YU” by Snežana Varda, which, through both cultural and musicological perspectives, sheds light on the impact of the New Wave movement on the local scene.

As part of the “Manak Cinema” film program, the documentary “The Benefactor”, which follows the life and work of the great philanthropist Sima Igumanov, will be screened. The ethno-documentary “Rovački Ostrog” by director Milan Kićevac will also be shown, bringing audiences closer to the spirit and heritage of Montenegro through an authentic narrative.

For the youngest visitors, the program offers two children’s theatre performances, as well as screenings of two animated films – “Baba Yaga” and “In Search of the Magic Formula” – designed to introduce children to tradition, imagination, and the beauty of visual storytelling.

Tickets for the music program are priced at 800 RSD, while tickets for other programs cost 600 RSD. Sales begin on August 15, available at all Tickets outlets, online, and at the entrance to the Manak House.

The event is organized by the Ethnographic Museum and Tangram Center, with the aim of spending summer evenings immersed in culture, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We invite all lovers of culture, art, and positive energy to join us and be part of this unique event – in the circle of friends.
