To celebrate the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia, the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade will offer free admission for all visitors from February 14 to 17. During the holiday period, the Museum will operate according to its regular opening hours.

Starting Saturday, February 14, visitors can also explore a new exhibition featuring a unique artifact being presented to the public for the first time.

Sretenje, besides being a national holiday, holds an important place in Serbian folk traditions. According to custom, this day marks the symbolic meeting of winter and summer. A popular belief involves the bear: if the day is sunny and the bear sees its shadow, winter is said to last another six weeks; if the day is cloudy, it signals the end of winter.

Visitors are invited to spend the holiday at the Ethnographic Museum, enjoying free admission and experiences dedicated to Serbian traditions and cultural heritage.
