Season of Free Concerts at the Ethnographic Museum

The Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade, in cooperation with Radio Belgrade 2, is organizing a concert season as part of a cycle of free traditional music concerts offered to the Museum’s visitors. This concert cycle is being held in celebration of two important anniversaries: the 125th anniversary of the Ethnographic Museum and the 40th anniversary of the radio program “Od zlata jabuka.”

Throughout 2026, audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy performances by distinguished soloists, ensembles, vocal groups, and instrumentalists who nurture and present the authentic traditional musical heritage of Serbia. The concerts will bring together leading performers of traditional music, as well as young artists who continue to preserve and promote this rich musical legacy.

Concert Season Program “Od zlata jabuka” – Spring Part:

  • April 17Svetozar Šutić, frula player, and guests

  • May 7 – Concert of Serbian traditional singing and instrumental performance by the Ensemble “Tradicija Viva,” Department of Ethnomusicology, Faculty of Music in Belgrade

  • June 5 – Concert of traditional folk creativity, featuring vocal groups and instrumentalists from Serbia

Autumn Part of the Cycle:

  • October 16 – Concert of traditional folk creativity, vocal groups and instrumentalists from Serbia

  • November 13 – Ensemble Sedef Ensemble and guests

  • December 11 – Vocal and instrumental soloists accompanied by the RTS National Orchestra

Admission to all concerts is free.
