A children’s reading workshop with Nevena Jovičić, recipient of the Dositej’s Quill Literary Award for 2025, will be held at the Ethnographic Museum on the occasion of World Book and Copyright Day, on April 23 at 6 PM.

Through the book “A Day on a Rural Homestead”, along with authentic objects, photographs, and the author’s stories, children will have the opportunity to learn about everyday life in a Serbian village—from morning to evening. In the interactive part of the workshop, participants will try traditional techniques such as wool spinning and knitting, and get acquainted with domestic animals, grains, and other aspects of rural household life.

In the final part of the workshop, children will create handmade items from natural materials, which they will take home as souvenirs.

The workshop lasts approximately 60 minutes and is intended for children aged 4 and above.
