The multimedia interactive exhibition “Who Once Was Kraljevic Marko?” is dedicated to one of the most renowned heroes of Serbian and Balkan epic tradition. Through a contemporary approach, the exhibition explores how the historical figure Marko Mrnjavčević gradually became the legendary Kraljević Marko—a symbol of heroism, justice, freedom, and the protection of the weak.
Designed as an interactive experience, the exhibition encourages active visitor participation. By combining original artefacts, immersive exhibition design, and digital content, it presents the epic tradition in an engaging and accessible way, with a particular focus on younger audiences.
Rather than offering definitive answers, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the relationship between history and myth, inspiring new generations to discover one of the most significant heroes of Serbian oral epic tradition.
