On Saturday, March 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., there will be calligraphy workshops, holiday-themed workshop, and a painting workshop. All workshops are free.
The calligraphy workshop for children aged 7 to 12 will be organized from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., while for women it will be from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.; a holiday-themed workshop intended exclusively for women will be organized from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. We have also prepared a painting workshop intended for children, who will paint holiday cards for mothers, aunts, sisters, grandmothers and all other women dear to them to whom they will present the card they designed themselves, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is not required for this workshop.
In addition to the workshops, the Ethnographic Museum will also have a holiday-themed exhibition “Women who changed Serbia” on that day, which, through objects, legends and photographs, sheds light on the activities of two important women’s societies – the Belgrade Women’s Society and the Kolo Serbian Sisters. These associations had a key role at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century in the expansion and promotion of the social and political position of women. Through their work, women are provided with opportunities for economic empowerment through training programs for independent work, such as the formation of craft schools and various courses.
The workshops are free, and the number of participants is limited.
