Right of Withdrawal
According to the Consumer Protection Act, purchases through our online store etnografskimuzej.rs are considered distance selling.
In the case of distance selling, the law grants the customer – considered a consumer (a natural person who purchases a product to satisfy individual needs, not for professional activity) – the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days from the date of delivery of the product. The consumer may, but is not required to, state the reasons for withdrawal.
The statement of withdrawal becomes legally effective from the date it is sent to the seller.
The request to withdraw from the purchase must be submitted in writing by sending an email to prodavnica@etnografskimuzej.rs.
In the case of withdrawal, the consumer has the right to a refund or exchange for another product. The refund is issued after the product is received and it is verified that the product is undamaged and in working condition.
The customer must return the product without delay, and no later than 14 days from the date the withdrawal request/form was submitted. After this 14-day period, returns are no longer accepted.
The product must be returned in proper, unused condition, in its original, undamaged packaging, with the original invoice/receipt enclosed.
Upon receipt of the product, it will be checked to confirm it is undamaged and functional. The customer is responsible for any damage caused by improper handling – i.e., the customer is solely liable for any diminished value of the product resulting from usage beyond what is necessary to determine its nature, characteristics, and functionality.
If it is determined that the product has been damaged due to the customer’s fault, the refund will be denied and the product returned at the customer’s expense.
The seller is obligated to issue a refund to the consumer without delay and no later than 14 days from the date of receipt of the withdrawal notice, and only after receiving the returned product.
In the case of product returns and refunds to a customer who previously paid by card, partially or in full, regardless of the reason for return, the Ethnographic Museum is obliged to process the refund exclusively via the same card method used for the payment – VISA, EC/MC, Maestro, Amex or Dina. This means the bank will process the refund directly to the cardholder’s account at the seller’s request.
Return shipping and refund costs are borne by the customer, except in cases where the customer received a faulty or incorrect item.
Product returns must be made exclusively through an appropriate courier service. The item may also be returned in person at the souvenir shop of the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade.
