You can look forward to creative workshops, exhibition tours, a treasure hunt, encounters with mythical creatures and heroes from Serbian mythology, as well as the museum’s rich ethnographic collection.

Đorđe Lobačev School of Comics, Illustration, and Concept Art

Time: 12:00–18:00
Location: Museum Atrium

The comic workshop is intended for young people and anyone interested in exploring the world of visual storytelling through the lens of local mythology. During the workshop, visitors will have the opportunity to learn the basics of comic creation: from developing a story and designing characters to arranging panels and dialogues. With the guidance of comic book authors and illustrators, each participant will be able to create their own comic strip inspired by vampires from Serbian folklore, fairy tales, and legends.
The workshop will be led by the renowned Serbian visual artist, comic author, illustrator, animator, and educator Vladimir Vesović.

Comic Exhibition: The Dardanelles Crew – Guided Tours by the Authors

Time: 15:00 and 17:00
Location: Museum Mezzanine

The exhibition showcases original drawings from the comic book series The Dardanelles Crew, which, through an adventure genre, presents a group of Serbian “superheroes” fighting surreal threats, including vampires. The authors are Pavle Zelić (writer) and Dragan Paunović (artist).
Pavle Zelić, a Serbian writer and film/comic book screenwriter, will personally guide visitors through the exhibition, revealing how a comic is created, what historical and folkloric references were used, and what the audience can expect from the upcoming animated film and series currently in production.

Location: First Floor – Permanent Exhibition Folk Culture of Serbs in the 19th and 20th Century

Discover how vampire legends were born and the roles they played in everyday life during the 19th and 20th centuries.

A special guided tour of the exhibition will be held on Tuesday, May 27 at 12:00 PM.
