The Ethnographic Museum
organizes educational
programs for visitors

The Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade has a long tradition of organizing workshops for children and adults.

The project "Child and Tradition" started in 2003. It is intended for children and young people with the aim of getting to know Serbian culture as part of the entire world heritage. Participation and play, freedom of choice and multiple possibilities are the means available to the museum to establish a new kind of relationship with young visitors.

The programs were conceived in the form of workshops that grew into real schools and are based on programs implemented at art academies and schools.

The Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade has been successfully organizing workshops for adults since the early 1990s. In Manak's house, there is currently a program to familiarize students with some old traditional crafts and folk handicrafts: hand weaving, artistic ceramics, traditional folk embroidery, gold embroidery, filigree, etc.
