The collection includes glass objects that were used in the Balkans.
Glass objects have been used on the territory of Serbia since the Middle Ages. Glass objects were imported to Serbia from Venice, Byzantium and Syria. In the middle of the 19th century, the industrial production of glass began in Serbia, in Jagodina, where the first factory was established. Master glassmakers from Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic have come to the factory in Jagodina.

Half a century later, glass production was also started in Paraćin, Pančevo and Zaječar. The glass collection consists of about 150 items originating from Serbia, and partly from Hungary, the Czech Republic and Austria.
