The exhibition is the result of a long-standing collaboration between the curators of the Ethnographic Museum and Manak’s House and the teachers and students of Technoart School. Its aim is to preserve and promote traditional craft skills while encouraging young creators to explore cultural heritage through contemporary artistic expression.
Inspired by tradition and guided by the knowledge and support of their mentors, the students have created authentic handmade works that combine traditional techniques with contemporary design. The exhibited pieces are the result of dedication, patience, creativity, and the collaborative efforts of both students and teachers.
A special value of this exhibition lies in its encouragement of young people to learn about and master traditional crafts, which have long been an important part of cultural identity. In an era of rapid technological development, programs such as this contribute to preserving knowledge, skills, and values passed down through generations.
Knowledge of technology, traditional crafts, and direct engagement with works of art are essential aspects of the education of future creators, including jewellers, bespoke tailors, conservators of cultural heritage, and professionals in other artistic and craft-related fields.
The exhibition will remain open to visitors until September 1, 2026.
We look forward to welcoming you to Manak’s House!
