The lecture was delivered by Jennie Carvill Schellenbacher, a museum expert and researcher from Austria, who presented the experiences of the Wien Museum in developing inclusive and accessible museum practices. Jennie Carvill Schellenbacher specializes in accessibility, inclusion, and cultural participation in museums and cultural institutions, and was also responsible for implementing inclusion and accessibility measures during the major reconstruction and reopening of the Wien Museum. She is also a co-founder of the Austrian Working Group for Inclusive Museums.
During the program, participants discussed the importance of accessibility in contemporary museums, as well as possibilities for further improving the accessibility of museum content and programs in Serbia. The lecture was followed by a discussion with participants on challenges and examples of good practice in the field of inclusion in culture.
The event was attended by museum professionals, cultural experts, and all those interested in the development of more inclusive cultural content and the advancement of museum practice.
