The delegation was welcomed by Marko Krstić, Director of the Ethnographic Museum, together with his associates. During the meeting, he introduced the guests to the Museum’s history, mission, programme activities, as well as its current projects and future development plans.
The Director of the Ethnographic Museum then guided the delegation through the Museum, presenting the multimedia interactive exhibition Who Was Prince Marko? and introducing them to the Museum’s contemporary approach to interpreting cultural memory through the use of digital technologies.
Particular attention during the discussions was devoted to the importance of preserving, researching, and presenting cultural heritage, as well as to the role of museums as contemporary cultural institutions.
In a cordial and constructive atmosphere, the participants explored opportunities for establishing and developing cooperation between the Ethnographic Museum and the National Film Museum of China. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange experiences regarding the work of the two institutions, while also discussing potential joint projects, professional collaboration, and the exchange of knowledge in the fields of museology and cultural heritage preservation.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish cooperation between the two institutions, providing a foundation for future joint initiatives and contributing to the further strengthening of cultural ties and international cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the People’s Republic of China.
